Open every day nonstop:
from 9.00 am to 6.00 pm, all year round
from 10.00 am to 7.00 pm, in July and August.
Annual closure:
from 24th December 2007 to 6th January 2008 inclusive.
Welcome for groups
Groups that have booked receive a priority welcome.
There is a drivers’ lounge for coach drivers, equipped with television, VCR and separate toilet facilities. If the drivers wish, they can visit the museum free of charge. They will also be offered free coffee, tea or a soft drink, as well as a pastry.

Infrared audio-guided headsets are available to help you go round the tour with ease.
The commentaries coming through the headsets are fully translated into the visitors’ mother tongue (French, English, Dutch or German); they are easy to use, and are also adapted for the hearing-impaired. A headset is given free to each visitor on arrival.
For the visitors’ comfort, all the rooms have seats where they can relax.
Don’t forget you need warm clothes for the underground galleries (several fleece jackets are however available free of charge). Under the dome, where the main part of the tour takes place, the ambient air is heated to a temperature of 19°C. Hostesses keep an constant eye out to ensure that your visit proceeds smoothly.
The entire museographic circuit of LA COUPOLE is accessible to people of reduced mobility.
Guided tours
Groups that so wish can have a guided tour. A hostess will take complete charge of them in order to show them the historical themes covered at LA COUPOLE.
These guided tours are subject to an additional charge of 2.50 € per person.
If you would like to opt for this formula, please state this when you make your booking so that your group can be welcomed under optimum conditions.
Shop and cafeteria
In the reception building, you can buy books, souvenirs and regional products from our shop.
You can also get some refreshment, a hot drink, a sandwich or a hot snack, in a convivial atmosphere, in a specially designed area.
Picnic area
A picnic area is at your disposal, with tables and benches set in verdant surroundings, opposite the dome of LA COUPOLE.
