From Clairmarais, you will penetrate into the heart of unusual and little known wealth of the Nord– Pas-de-Calais: the Audomarois marshlands.
During a boat trip that will take you into one of the last remaining marshes still cultivated in France, you will visit an area of over 3,600 hectares that will amaze you by its diversity!
The Isnor crew will show you the numerous facets of this unique place: market gardening and residential gardens, architecture and typical watercraft, the fauna and flora that has been preserved in this natural reserve, its economy and history…
Arc International
A real town within a town, the glass production site of Arc International is impressive due to its size and by the fact that it is omnipresent in the area around Saint-Omer. You will discover an unexpected world through the glistening molten glass as you enter into the heart of the Arques factory, full of colourful tumblers, slender flutes and elegant stemmed glasses. The visit lasts approximately 1 hour 30 minutes, beginning with a trip to look at the past. The room has been specially set out so you can relive the traditional production of mouth-blown glass and rediscover many items that will have filled your grandmother’s shelves!
Accompanied by a guide, your visit will continue with films to illustrate the secrets of glass manufacture. You can then witness the whole production process from a walkway overlooking the machines, from the blobs of molten glass up to the packaged item.
La Coupole
At the dawning of the XXIst century, Western Europe is living out the longest time of peace in its history. La Coupole recounts why and how this peace is the result of the drama and unheard of violence during the Second World War. There are 2 cinema screens, twenty or so films produced using rare archive images and offering more than 2 hours of projection, moving models and three-dimensional reconstitutions, not forgetting the presentation of V1 and V2 missiles.
