1. CONTRACTING PARTY

La Coupole, History and Remembrance Centre in the Nord—Pas-de-Calais, is an EPCC (Public Establishment of Cultural Co-operation) of an industrial and commercial nature, founded on 1/03/06 by Prefectoral decree. The La Coupole EPCC is managed by the Pas-de-Calais General Council and the ‘Communauté d’Agglomération de Saint-Omer.’ In this role, it is the customer’s unique representative and must answer to him concerning the obligations resulting from the following conditions of sale.

2. OBJECT

The object of the contract is to define the conditions of access of individuals to cultural activities, commented and accompanied visits, catering and accommodation.

3. TARIFICATION

The tariffs accompanying these general conditions of sale – professional or otherwise – are inclusive of all taxes and expressed in Euros.
The current tariffs are valid until 31 December 2009. They may be modified without warning (tax increase or decrease).
The prices invoiced are indicated when the booking is confirmed, without any possibility of further modification.

4. BOOKING CONDITIONS

The booking must be made in writing (letter, fax or email) or by telephone.
The booking request must indicate:

  • The name of the participants
  • The address, telephone number and email address of the participants
  • The number of packages
  • The type of package

The booking becomes firm as soon as it is paid in full.

5. MODES OF PAYMENT

Payment must be made at the time of booking, by cheque, cash or credit card accepted on the website.

6. MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION AT THE CUSTOMER’S REQUEST

Modification:
So it can be dealt with rapidly, any modification of the recorded booking by our services should be made by telephone and then confirmed in writing (letter, fax or email), at least 3 days before the date of the stay.

La Coupole will examine the request for modification as quickly as possible in agreement with the contractor(s).

Any increase in the number of people present on the day of the visit will be dealt with as if it were a new request.

Cancellation:
Any partial or total cancellation by the customer must be confirmed in writing to La Coupole, which will then inform the contractor.

No reimbursement is possible, only the date may be modified.

No amount will be withheld by La Coupole if the customer can establish that he had to deal with a situation involving an act of God.

If the customer renounces on one or more of the options on the day of the visit, this will not give rise to any reimbursement.

7. MODIFICATION OR CANCELLATION AT THE REQUEST OF LA COUPOLE OR A CONTRACTOR

Cancellation:
In the event of an act of God, La Coupole reserves the right to cancel or postpone booked visits.

If the visit is postponed, La Coupole will propose several dates according to the possibilities available.

If the visit is cancelled, and if the dates proposed in the future do not suit the customer, the latter will be reimbursed the full amount paid.

Modification:
In the event that La Coupole is forced to modify the planned conditions of the visit, the customer will be informed by registered letter or by email.

The customer then has a period of 8 days from receipt of the letter or email to make his decision known.

In the event the customer does not agree to the proposed changes, he will be reimbursed.
Failure of the customer to respond within the given period signifies his agreement.

12. RESPONSIBILITY

During the visit, visitors are subject to the codes of conduct in the sites involved.

13. CLAIMS

Claims must absolutely be addressed within 8 days following the visit, by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. La Coupole will send a written reply.

If the customer renounces on one or more of the options in the package, these cannot be reimbursed or compensated by La Coupole.

In the event of a dispute, and if an amicable agreement cannot be decided, the only competent courts are those in Saint-Omer. All claims are governed by French law.
